what3words for Cadcorp SIS WebMap

Cadcorp SIS WebMap offers access to what3words addressing

what3words provides a precise and simple way to talk about location. The company has divided the world into a grid of 3m x 3m squares and assigned each one a unique 3 word address.

what3words can be integrated with Cadcorp SIS WebMap and accessed via a button on the map's interface. The user can either click on the map to return the 3 word address for that location, or input three words to zoom to the location. When the user types in the first two words and any letter from the third, they‘re offered suggestions for the final word.

Using what3words in SIS WebMap

Once the what3words button is added to the interface, clicking it opens a dialog box

Click on the map to return the 3 word address for that location. This drops in a map pin at that location. The 3 word address is added to the dialog and this can be selected and copied

Alternatively, enter three words into the dialog and the map zooms to that location and drops in a map pin

When typing in the first two words and any letter from the third, the dialog offers suggestions for the final word
