to gain a better understanding of their data with an interactive,
user defined, map.
The interface
Custom Power BI visual
The custom visual supplied by Cadcorp allows an interactive map to be embedded into a Power BI report. Users simply import the Power BI visual and add it as an option to the Power BI Visualizations pane.
The visualization supplies mapping data, served by Cadcorp SIS WebMap, which the user can implement to define their own data layers and structure, appropriate for the report and in keeping with their corporate mapping. Point and polygon data uploaded to Power BI can then be overlaid on the mapping.

While the visualization integrates mapping served by SIS WebMap, the user can include their own data overlays to provide additional context for their Power BI business data.
Datasets imported into Power BI that hold GeoJSON descriptions of points, lines or polygons, will be displayed over the map. As the data is held within the Power BI environment, it is linked to other visuals within the report.
SIS WebMap for Power BI supports numerous Coordinate Reference Systems including those that use Latitude and Longitude, and Ordnance Survey® Great Britain (OSGB).
