Cadcorp Local Government Conference 2021 - Presentations
Presentations from the online Cadcorp Local Government Conference
This year we took the Cadcorp Local Government Conference online. Over one hundred representatives from local authorities joined us to discuss how extracting greater value from data with a Geographic Information System (GIS), can help build capacity to meet future service needs, while helping residents make informed choices.
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council shared how they deploy web mapping, to answer Frequently Asked Questions from the public, with a 'Community Map'. Aberdeenshire Council talked about their spatial scene, showing many examples of integrating datasets to provide accessible visualisations across the council and the public. We were also joined by Ordnance Survey® who provided a comprehensive update on the PSGA and OS Data Hub Public Sector Plan.
Cadcorp gave a public sector update and a sneak preview of upcoming Cadcorp applications for those involved in location based decision-making. We also provided an overview of Cadcorp's online training experience and announced new courses that are being released for 2021.
The sharing of best practice was paramount throughout the conference and delegates were able to use the opportunity to exchange ideas in an online networking session.
