Fire Service Analysis Workshop 2020 – Presentations

This year, we took the Cadcorp Fire Service Analysis Workshop online. Over one hundred Fire and Rescue Services personnel from all over the UK, joined us to discuss the value of GIS analysis and web mapping for protection, prevention and response.

GIS professionals from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland were in attendance and learnt about the latest projects taking place at UK Fire Services. County Durham and Darlington Fire shared how they are utilising Cadcorp SIS WebMap for Power BI to address and reduce the instances of deliberate fires. Cambridgeshire Fire provided a fresh approach by explaining how they use a risk-based methodology in web mapping for hydrant management. The National Fire Chiefs Council gave an update on the very active Community Risk Programme.

Cadcorp shared the latest updates to Cadcorp Workload Modeller and Cadcorp Risk Modeller, and delegates saw a sneak preview of a new Cadcorp fire service application. We also demonstrated Taking advantage of cloud based services and Bringing the OS Data Hub to desktop GIS.
The sharing of best practice was paramount throughout the workshop, and delegates were able to use the opportunity to exchange ideas in an online networking session.
