Cadcorp Maritime User Group Meeting – Presentations
GIS professionals from UK ports came together at the Cadcorp Maritime User Group Meeting to share their work, experiences and recommendations for the best use of GIS in their industry.
Jonathan Craig, Group Marine GIS Coordinator at Peel Ports presented on the widespread ‘Impact of GIS in Peel Ports‘ and gave examples of the many ways it’s used for marine data management and other group department tasks.
PD TESSPORT was represented by Harbour Master, Captain Paul Brookes who talked about how they went beyond defining port areas in ‘Using Cadcorp GIS.’
Coastal and ocean data management solutions company and Cadcorp partner, OceanWise, gave their recommendations on ‘Using Port ENCs‘. OceanWise also shared a case study on their use of Desktop GIS in the navigational planning of bringing 24,200 tonnes of decommissioned Brent Field infrastructure into Seaton Channel.
