Cadcorp Emergency Services Conference 2025 – Presentations

This year’s conference brought together Public Safety organisations to explore the value of GIS and web mapping for emergency service spatial analysis.
Fire, Police and Ambulance Services from Great Britain and Northern Ireland joined us in Manchester to explore the latest technological advancements for improving the targeting of resources and activities, response times, and overall situational awareness. The day began with an Emergency Services spatial update that set the stage for deeper discussions on how to harness these technologies to improve operational efficiency and public outcomes.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) outlined how Cadcorp SIS supports advanced scenario modelling to enhance public safety and drive operational efficiency. A highlight of their session was a pioneering on-call recruitment modelling project, now deployed across the service. HIWFRS shared both the methodology and results with delegates, offering valuable insights into their recruitment and retention initiative.
The event provided delegates with the opportunity to learn more about Cadcorp SIS enhancements to support Emergency Services. This includes a range of new spatial statistics process operations for crime and incident analysis within Cadcorp SIS Desktop. Specialist applications that meet the demand for improving the targeting of resources and activities, and response times, are a key priority for blue light service delivery. We shared advancements that had been made in Cadcorp Workload Modeller to support this trend, followed by a demonstration of recent developments.
NEC Software Solutions then introduced their wider capability within the Public Safety sector and described how the strategic acquisition of Cadcorp complements their mission to create safer communities through innovation and collaboration.
There have been significant enhancements to the OS National Geographic Database (OS NGD) and Ordnance Survey provided a roundup of the most recent updates for Emergency Services, as well as a delivery timeline of its product roadmap.
Precise and accurate modelling is fundamental in the optimal placement of resources. In Leveraging independent spatial analysis for strategic planning, we outlined a range of individual Cadcorp work packages that can be readily implemented to help Public Safety organisations achieve measurable improvements in operational performance.
Maps are integral to encouraging community engagement and we showcased how sharing incident data in Cadcorp SIS WebMap is an effective way to keep the public informed. This was followed by a preview of an exciting new interactive Cadcorp application for displaying and sharing community risk information.
Having a robust geospatial deployment strategy in Public Safety is essential for connecting, informing, and supporting teams. We illustrated the benefits of cloud architecture with real-world examples showing the positive impact cloud technology has on Emergency Services operations.
Collaboration was paramount throughout the conference, and delegates took the opportunity to exchange ideas in networking sessions.
“As ever, an interesting, useful and exciting day!”
