Over one hundred personnel from Police, Ambulance and Fire Services joined this year’s online Cadcorp Emergency Services Conference. GIS professionals and analysts from all over the UK were in attendance to discuss the role of GIS and web mapping for visualising resources, responding to demand, and assessing risk.
Delegates saw a preview of the latest updates coming to Cadcorp SIS Desktop and Cadcorp SIS WebMap and had a product demonstration of the newly released Cadcorp Cover Modeller. Cover Modeller allows control room personnel to evaluate the impact of control room cover moves on overall risk and response cover.
The agenda included a presentation on how emergency services can benefit from independently performed data analysis and modelling.
Ordnance Survey® provided an update on the Public Sector Geospatial Agreement (PSGA) and the Emergency Services Gazetteer.
Collaboration was paramount throughout the conference with a customer showcase of recent projects, and delegates took the opportunity to exchange ideas in online networking sessions.
