This year’s conference brought nearly seventy Emergency Services personnel together to explore the value of GIS analysis and web mapping in Fire, Police and Ambulance Services.
GIS professionals from Great Britain and Northern Ireland were in attendance and heard about the latest projects taking place at Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, and North West Ambulance Service. Sessions throughout the day demonstrated new analytical methods in Cadcorp SIS Desktop, Workload Modeller, Risk Modeller, and Cadcorp SIS WebMap. Cadcorp’s Technical Director also gave a sneak preview on forthcoming updates to the software.
The National Fire Chiefs Council unveiled their plans for supporting a more consistent approach to planning for all fire services. Ordnance Survey shared news on the Open MasterMap Implementation Programme, and Cadcorp technology partner, 3tc, was on hand to demonstrate MODAS Professional, a mobile data software application.
