mSIS – mobile Spatial Information System, is an easy to use
data capture application for the Pocket PC platform. The mSIS solution
is supplied in two parts, a desktop based project management package
– mSIS Office, plus the Pocket PC based data capture software
– mSIS Mobile.

Cadcorp offers project managers the capability to define and control
projects effectively from their desktops and give field operatives
Pocket PC software for swift, structured data collection with freely
based and GPS inputted graphic features.

mSIS supports a number of native File Formats and Raster Formats.
Data is easily downloaded and uploaded from desktop to Pocket PC.
Desktop project management
Project management tasks require the set up of many parameters, from
choosing base data to building User Interfaces for Data Input, all
of which is made easy using the mSIS Office package, whether you are
a seasoned user or newcomer.
Small but packing a punch
Pocket PC devices are increasingly powerful in terms of onboard processors,
memory sizes and colour display. Expansion is easy, with linkage to
GPS receivers, mobile telecommunications and desktop PCs using either
card slots/serial, USB or infrared ports. Cadcorp mSIS Mobile on the
Pocket PC allows users to view geospatial data, create and edit vector
geometry. mSIS links to any GPS receiver supporting NMEA 0183 formatted
GPS messages and creates GPS point, line and area vectors.
