Forth Valley GIS buys Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller

Cadcorp, the developer of the popular Cadcorp SIS – Spatial Information System digital mapping and GIS software suite is pleased to announce that leading Scottish GIS public service provider Forth Valley GIS has recently purchased a copy of Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller.

Hosted by Stirling Council, the 20-strong Forth Valley GIS team provides corporate GIS services to the neighbouring local authorities of Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, and Stirling, who jointly fund the unit in a unique and innovative business model. In addition to this, Forth Valley GIS provide these services commercially to a wide range of other local authorities and public sector organisations. The range of GIS services provided include desktop and web-based GIS application development, GIS systems integration, data management, technical consultancy, business consultancy, project management, support, and training.

Cadcorp SIS Map Modeller is the premier "off-the-shelf" GIS offering from Cadcorp. Certified OpenGIS® compliant in a number of areas, it also includes as standard tools for loading and managing OS MasterMap, as well as support for an additional 100 variants of GIS, graphic and database formats. It is planned that Cadcorp SIS Modeller will further assist Forth Valley GIS with the development and implementation of data management strategies and in provision of GIS data services to its customers.
