Cadcorp and the OGC

'The Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc (OGC®) is an international industry consortium that includes a growing number of companies, government agencies and universities participating in a consensus process to develop publicly available interface specifications. OpenGIS® Specifications support interoperable solutions that "geo-enable" the Web, wireless and location-based services, and mainstream IT.

The specifications empower technology developers to make complex spatial information and services accessible and useful with all kinds of applications.

Since 1997, Cadcorp has been heavily involved in the activity of the OGC, and has contributed to several OGC Implementation Specifications.

Cadcorp technical director Martin Daly is an OGC Gardels Medal holder for his contribution to the OGC, and was one of the original members of the OGC Architecture Board.

Cadcorp is a member of the Technical Committee of the OGC and has a large number of OGC certified-compliant implementations, all of which are built-in as standard across the Cadcorp SIS software range.

Cadcorp SIS is OGC certified compliant for SFO 1.1, CTO 1.0, GC1.0, WMS 1.1.1 & WFS 1.0.0 interfaces. Cadcorp SIS also implements WMS 1.0.0, WMC 1.0, WFS 0.0.14 & 0.0.13, GML 2.1 & 2.0, Gaz 0.8, Filter 1.0.0 and WTS 0.3.2.
